As an EMT-Basic (EMT-B) in EMS Operations, you will maintain and operate an emergency medical vehicle in the safe transportation of emergency and non-emergency patients. You will ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
At Presbyterian Espanola Hospital, you'll join a supportive, dynamic, proactive, and collaborative team in the beautiful northern New Mexico location of Espanola Valley. Just north of Santa Fe, Espanola is nestled between the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges and the meeting points of three rivers; the Rio Grande, the Rio Chama and the Rio Santa Cruz.

Qualifications
- High school plus specialized
- New Mexico EMT-Basic license
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- New Mexico drivers license
- 21 years of age to comply with insurance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Obtains and records accurate, pertinent medical information on patients, including vital signs and medical histories obtained from patient and/or family. Maintains positive communications and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Assists in providing preventative and routing maintenance for emergency vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety; assists in cleaning maintaining, and stocking emergency vehicles with supplies and necessary equipment.
- Maintains certification in defensive driving techniques; maintains accurate knowledge of call locations and current road and weather conditions.
- Participates in and endorse the established PHS guest relations program.
