Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently seeking a dynamic, talented and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead one of our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) positions in Nursing on our campus in Quitman, GA.

The Assistant Director of Nursing, RN is responsible for providing exceptional Leadership to the assigned Nursing Units by directing, coordinating and supervising the staff and the daily functions & activities on the units. He/she coordinates personal care and assures holistic, therapeutic, restorative and rehabilitative care in accordance with accepted nursing standards and all state and federal regulations.
Overview of job responsibilities:
- Supervisors and coordinates personal care activities throughout Nursing areas according to Nursing policies and procedures to ensure that quality care is maintained and provided to all residents.
- Provides direct supervision for the Charge Nurses, CNAs and other Nursing staff.
- Provides coaching and leadership to Nursing staff to ensure that our culture of exceptional service is maintained and enhanced.
- Makes daily rounds, reviews daily reports, as well as other quality measures, to assure quality standards of personal care are being met.
- Assesses and provides input to the DON regarding Nursing care and standards.
- Supervises and educates the staff to help ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide quality care to the residents.
- Participates on week-end call rotation as assigned.
- Covers open nursing positions as necessary.
- Enhances the relationships and understanding among staff, residents, family members, consultants, outside agencies, medical director and physicians by maintaining open communication and a consistently professional attitude.
- Reviews any Quality reports and participates in addressing ways to improve quality services.
- Supports Presbyterian Homes of Georgia's Mission & commitment to providing exceptional quality of care to the residents.
Position Requirements (overview):
- RN license in Georgia.
- Have a strong commitment to ensuring a culture of quality service.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Supervisory/Leadership position in Nursing.
- Have demonstrated experience supervising & leading Nursing staff.
- Knowledge of Federal & State Long-Term Care rules and regulations strongly preferred.
- Have a strong desire to work with senior adults.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication, organization and time-management skills are required.
- Experience with Point-Click-Care or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Experience with MicroSoft Office products.
- Previous Nursing experience in the Long-term care, hospital or related healthcare field.
