Essential Functions:
- Directs the day-to-day administration of the insured benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life, LTD, and all ancillary benefits, and legally required benefit plans and the retirement plans (Defined Contribution 403b and 457b Plan).
- Provides guidance during claims or enrollment processes.
- Maintains records related to benefits plan participation or contributions.
- Reconciles and processes monthly invoices for premium payment.
- Assists with reconciliation of the retirement plan (includes bi-weekly payroll export and maintenance file submission, contribution adjustments as needed, monthly loan delinquency reporting, and weekly, monthly, annual reporting and auditing).
- Creates reports and participate in auditing processes with Payroll/Accounting on a weekly, monthly, and annual schedule.
- Manages compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) (includes monthly eligibility reporting, waiver/enrollment process and documentation, and annual 1095 process).
- Leads preparation and mailing of all total rewards-related communications on an as-needed basis (includes annual benefit summary mailing).
- Coordinates creation of monthly and annual W/C dashboard reports for organizational and campus-level data and metrics.
- Assists with coordination of the company wellness program.
- Completes all other requested duties and assignments as needed.
- Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, Finance, or Payroll administering benefits programs, including retirement plans or comparable financial programs and all other relevant HR/financial duties required.
- Must possess good working knowledge of ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and manage comparable programs governed by complex regulations.
- Has built up a knowledge of employee benefits or comparable financial programs and experience of building subject matter expertise in areas of responsibility.
- Strong data reconciliation skills are critical
- Presentation and public speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Products.
- Prior experience with an HRIS; UKG is a plus
