The Leave of Absence Specialist will oversee and administer all leave of absence requests and accommodations requiring specialize attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Worker's Compensation, multi-state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field; preferred
- Associate's degree in HR or related field and at least two years of experience in HR and/or benefit administration; required
- Prior experience with computerized HR information and payroll systems; preferred
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP; preferred
Expectations:
- Oversees, analyzes and administers all PSL Leave of Absence requests (including Worker's Compensation, ADA, Life Events, VSTD)
- Communicates with employees request or in need of a leave of absence or modified work schedule
- Handles the leave of absence administration in its entirety
- Supports and maintains the Leave of Absence automation setup in the HRIS as well as timekeeping
- Advises Community HR, employees, direct Supervisors and employees on their leave request status
