What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Donor Outreach / Gifts Officer position at Presbyterian Senior Living – Administrative Office?
Remote Work: Does require travel to assigned communities.
The Director of Donor Outreach is responsible to build and maintain relationships with key donors. This position will work with leadership and management teams to build a philanthropic network of dedicated donors committed to the future of our organization. This position is also responsible for managing the annual giving and employee giving campaigns to expand our donor database and increase support for various programs and services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required
- Five to Ten years’ experience as an Annual Gifts Officer or Major Gift Officer required
- Prior experience working in senior living preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop, cultivate, promote and maintain relationships to secure substantial gift dollars required
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred
RESONSIBLITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Responsible for potential donor identification and building relationships with donors in assigned communities that want to support PSL’s mission.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of 10 active gift candidates at each assigned community.
- Maintain an active portfolio of 20 potential donors.
- Work with leadership to determine strategic fund-raising goals and needs.
- Responsible for achieving annual fundraising target.
- Maintain fundamental knowledge of tax benefits in promoting annual, major and bequests/planned giving.
- Ability to travel extensively and meet with residents and team members across the organizations’ service areas.
- Plan, implement and oversee organization’s appeal program.
- Work and coordinate closely with other members of the team to create a comprehensive service program that provides substantial support to the organization.
- Plan and implement employee-giving campaign.
