In our personal care communities, you will work in a home-like environment that enables older adults to live their lives to the fullest in an atmosphere of dignity, independence, and choice.
Our PCAs are responsible for :
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing and toileting, to ensure good hygiene, grooming and self-esteem.
- Responding to call bells.
- Serving meals or monitoring eating or drinking to identify dietary concerns. May prepare meals on some occasions.
- Accompanying residents to and from the dining room, various appointments, and activities when necessary to ensure safety and timely arrival, conducting planned and spontaneous activities with residents to encourage socialization and promote self-esteem.
- Assisting with admission, discharges and transfers of residents to promote continuity of care.
