We are seeking a qualified Preschool Director to lead our team and oversee daily operations while ensuring compliance with state licensing standards and fostering a culture of growth, safety, and fun.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Administration:
- Manage all aspects of preschool operations, including enrollment, staffing, and budgeting.
- Supervise and mentor staff to maintain a high standard of teaching and care.
- Ensure compliance with Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing regulations.
- Oversee curriculum implementation in alignment with Montessori- and Reggio Emilia-inspired practices.
- Plan and manage school events, activities, and parent engagement programs.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Schedule staff to ensure appropriate classroom coverage.
- Child Development:
- Ensure that classrooms provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Monitor child progress and development, supporting teachers in creating individualized learning plans.
- Address concerns or needs raised by parents, teachers, or children.
- Operational Management:
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, medical records, and staff certifications.
- Manage budgets, tuition payments, and supply orders.
- Develop and enforce health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Parent & Community Relations:
- Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and resolve concerns.
- Represent the Preschool Collective at community events to promote enrollment.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Director’s Certificate recognized by the Florida DCF.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
