Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a critical role in managing the financial processes of healthcare services. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, coding, and posting of payments while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with various tasks related to medical billing, including submitting claims to insurance companies and following up on outstanding payments, and payment posting.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare providers, insurance companies and patients over the phone to resolve discrepancies in billing and coding.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all transactions and communications related to the revenue cycle.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently to manage daily responsibilities.
- Demonstrate initiative and a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required – we will train the right candidate.
- Reliable transportation to commute to our Oakbrook Terrace office.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an independent thinker.
