We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our organization.

Position Summary

The Controller will be responsible for managing all financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax filings. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will ensure the financial health of Prescott House through effective financial planning, compliance, and strategic fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to ensure financial stability.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including coordination with external tax preparers and auditors.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Supervise and support finance staff, providing leadership in day-to-day accounting functions.
• Work closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies and business plans.
• Monitor revenue cycles, billing processes, and reimbursement strategies to optimize financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation for auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the behavioral health, healthcare, and commercial insurance billing strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software(QuickBooks) and financial reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
