Prescott Park Arts Festival, a well-established and dynamic non-profit organization, is looking to hire Concessions Staff Members to help run our concession stand, The Prop, Prescott Park’s commercial kitchen and concession stand. This position will join the experienced, award-winning, fun, and fast-paced team responsible for organizing this popular summer tradition that offers a diversity of performances from June to October each year. Events include concerts, food and music festivals, movie nights, a signature musical theatre production, a youth theatre camp, and more.
Prescott Park Arts Festival is a cultural leader in the Seacoast, and reaches nearly 150,000 people through its events, all offered by suggested donation in Portsmouth’s beautiful downtown Prescott Park. The festival’s contribution to the local economy in show and visitor related spending has swelled to $7.5 million annually.
Job Description Details
(The Prop is Prescott Park’s commercial kitchen and concession stand.)
Reporting to the Restaurant Concessions Manager and Shift Leaders, Concessions Staff will be an energetic, dedicated and driven individual responsible for assisting in food sales, food prep, and customer service at the Festival's nightly events. This is a fast-paced food operation and requires an individual that can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time, seasonal position with scheduling flexibility.
Skills and education requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Capable of working effectively during peak volume times
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 25lbs
- Detail oriented, team player
- High standard for cleanliness
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Following food safety guidelines and food service sanitation procedures
- Food preparation and packaging
- Operate Point of Sale system to fulfill orders
- Report inventory to help maintain proper supplies
- Implement daily cleaning procedures
- Answering patron questions and providing excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
**Starting at $10 an hour plus tips
*Training and first events at the Festival are set to begin mid-June
