Prescott Park Arts Festival, a well-established and dynamic non-profit organization, is looking to hire seasonal Site Staff. This position will join the experienced, award-winning, fun, and fast-paced team responsible for organizing this popular summer tradition that offers a diversity of performances from June to October each year. Events include concerts, food and music festivals, movie nights, a signature musical theatre production, a youth theatre camp, and more.
Prescott Park Arts Festival is a cultural leader in the Seacoast, and reaches nearly 150,000 people through its events, all offered by suggested donation in Portsmouth’s beautiful downtown Prescott Park. The festival’s contribution to the local economy in show and visitor related spending has swelled to $7.5 million annually.
Job Description Details
This position calls for a dedicated, hard-working individual to assist in the daily operations of the Festival. Reporting to the Site Manager, Site Staff will work to maintain that all areas of the Festival are operating cleanly and safely. This position requires an individual that can multi-task and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time, seasonal position with scheduling flexibility.
Skills and education requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 30lbs
- Detail-oriented team player with a positive attitude
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily setup of site equipment, flagging, tables, and chairs
- Assisting with daily opening/closing duties
- Help maintain cleanliness of Prescott Park
- Maintain a safe environment for the audience, performers, and Festival staff
- Answering general questions from patrons
- Enforce and maintain established security and safety policies/procedures in an effective and courteous manner
- Other duties as assigned
*Starting at $11 an hour
*Training and first events at the Festival are set to begin end of May and beginning of June
