Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all procurement activities related to microscopes and microscope parts
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency
- Maintain and enhance relationships with current vendors, ensuring reliability and competitive pricing
- Scout, evaluate, and establish relationships with new prospective vendors to expand procurement opportunities
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts for full microscopes and microscope components
- Provide verbal and digital offers on procurement opportunities
- Oversee and manage the digital processing of purchase orders
- Supervise procurement staff, delegate responsibilities, and ensure team efficiency
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to assist with demand planning and align procurement with production needs
- Maintain and input procurement data into spreadsheets and databases used for decision-making
- Stay updated on and ensure compliance with import and export regulations for international markets
- Conduct supplier evaluations in accordance with company ISO requirements
- Monitor and report on procurement activities, market trends, and vendor performance
- Provide advice, options, and solutions related to shipping and logistics
- Develop a deep understanding of market conditions and business practices in targeted regions
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing cost-effective supplier agreements
- Experience with international procurement and knowledge of import/export regulations
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.)
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, production, and finance teams
- Knowledge of ISO compliance requirements related to procurement is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
