Procurement Manager

Prescott's, Inc is a leading medical device Service company focused on the distribution and refurbishment of multiple types of medical devices including sterilizers, surgical microscopes, pumps, monitors, and anesthesia machines. We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. Our mission is to enhance the quality of healthcare by ensuring that medical professionals have access to high-quality and reliable equipment. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in sourcing and acquiring the parts and supplies necessary for our operations, ensuring that we meet our production goals while maintaining cost efficiency.

In this position, you will oversee all procurement activities, ensuring a seamless supply chain while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. You will develop and execute procurement strategies, negotiate pricing and terms, and support sales and production teams with demand planning. The role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to manage international trade regulations. You will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in procurement management within the healthcare or medical device sectors.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all procurement activities related to microscopes and microscope parts
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency
• Maintain and enhance relationships with current vendors, ensuring reliability and competitive pricing
• Scout, evaluate, and establish relationships with new prospective vendors to expand procurement opportunities
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts for full microscopes and microscope components
• Provide verbal and digital offers on procurement opportunities
• Oversee and manage the digital processing of purchase orders
• Supervise procurement staff, delegate responsibilities, and ensure team efficiency
• Collaborate closely with the Sales team to assist with demand planning and align procurement with production needs
• Maintain and input procurement data into spreadsheets and databases used for decision-making
• Stay updated on and ensure compliance with import and export regulations for international markets
• Conduct supplier evaluations in accordance with company ISO requirements
• Monitor and report on procurement activities, market trends, and vendor performance
• Provide advice, options, and solutions related to shipping and logistics
• Develop a deep understanding of market conditions and business practices in targeted regions
  
  
  

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing cost-effective supplier agreements
• Experience with international procurement and knowledge of import/export regulations
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.)
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, production, and finance teams
• Knowledge of ISO compliance requirements related to procurement is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test
  
  

Salary Range: $95,000 to $105,000 plus bonus
