Prescribe FIT has designed and implemented a unique solution within orthopedic practices that actively promotes the adaptation of a healthy lifestyle as root cause medicine for their patients’ musculoskeletal condition. We partner with physicians to proactively outreach to right-fit candidates through email, SMS and phone, then remotely monitor enrolled patients to track and analyze nutrition and physical activity. We utilize this lifestyle data to better understand and influence behaviors through an innovative mobile app and one-to-one weekly health coaching calls.
Role Description
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Billing Specialist. In this role, you will partner with billing departments at our current Prescribe FIT (PF) Partners and provide guidance and knowledge to ensure accurate billing. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of medical billing and coding practices, and the ability to resolve complex billing issues while maintaining positive relationships with PF Partner’s staff. You will work closely with our internal sales team, the current PF Partner’s billing staff, and the Account Manager team as needed.
What You Will Do
Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving billing issues for our Prescribe FIT Practice Partners’
Review patient claim submissions for accuracy and completeness
Assist Practice Partner’s staff in resolving denied or rejected claims by identifying discrepancies and coordinating necessary corrections

Requirements
The perfect candidate will be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person who will:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and insurance regulations including HIPAA requirements
Maintain accurate records for all interactions and resolutions for auditing purposes
Provide billing expertise to Practice Partner’s staff
Facilitate communication between our Practice Partner’s staff to resolve any coding or documentation issues
Customer service-orientated with a focus on resolving conflicts efficiently
Your Qualifications
Medical Billing Experience 5 years required
Remote Patient Monitoring knowledge preferred
Certification in medical billing and coding is a plus (e.g. CPC, CMRS)
Strong understanding of medical billing codes and insurance claims process
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain good working relationships
Demonstrates attention to detail
Clear and concise communication
Strong problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
