What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Crew Member position at Prescription Landscape?
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Snow and Ice Management Crew Member, you will be assigned duties related to the removal of snow from sidewalks and walkways, shoveling, and de-icing at a variety of customer locations. Employees will have the opportunity to operate all sidewalk equipment including shovels, snowblowers, sidewalk tractors, Ventrac SSV, and Boss Snowrators.
Employer will support Employee’s growth and education to help achieve career goals and to support Company mission. This is an at-will, non-exempt employee position under Minnesota Law. Non-exempt employees are eligible to receive overtime.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality
Demonstrate competent operations and performance of assigned service line and performance standards.
Clear sidewalks and surfaces utilizing materials and equipment per Crew Lead specifications.
Safety
Assist with the organization, cleaning, and basic upkeep at all facilities as well as assigned crew equipment, trucks, and trailers.
Operate, in a safe and efficient manner, all shovels, snowblowers, sidewalk tractors, Ventrac SSVs, and Boss Snowrators, or other assorted SIM equipment as assigned.
Report any damage and wear issues to Crew Lead independently and immediately.
Complete and maintain all assigned Greenius safety training.
Wear clothing and safety equipment appropriate for the job performed.
Perform preventative equipment checks prior to operating.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment and ensure required materials, including first aid kids, are stocked and stored appropriately.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform manual labor, including repeated physical bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs independently and 80 lbs with assistance.
Good communication skills with the ability to understand and follow directions.
Completes assigned work in a timely and accurate manner.
Works well with co-workers and supervisors.
Consistently reports to work on time.
Adheres to Company expectations regarding conduct and appearance as specified in the Employee Handbook.
SCHEDULE:
Due to the nature of Minnesota winters, we do not have set hours during this time as we are at the mercy of when a storm starts and stops. While this is challenging, it is a good rule of thumb to expect to be on-call during any snow event (any precipitation during the Winter Season).
Generally, you will work an average work week consisting of 8-10 hours per day and for 5-6 days per week for the Winter Season (defined as the months of October to April).
