Job Summary
This position works under the supervision of the Maintenance Director and performs housekeeping services necessary to maintain and support residents in their daily living as well maintain the cleanliness, presentability and appearance of the community as a whole.
Essential Functions
1. Dusting
2. Vacuuming
3. Clean tub/shower
4. Clean sinks
5. Wipe mirrors
6. Clean toilets
7. Sweep/mop floors
8. Clean baseboards
9. Clean out vents
10. Clean off counter, wipe down appliances
11. Cleaning of common areas such as lobby, mopping and vacuuming hallways, cleaning of bathrooms
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to read manuals and product labels
- Ability to follow instructions given by supervisor
Math skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, understanding mathematical concepts and apply them to problem solving situations.

13. Ability to recognize and act on safety hazards – wipes up spills or wet spots off floor, keeps hallways uncluttered when using cleaning equipment.
14. Ability to work so minimal disturbance is caused to tenants.
Working Conditions
The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Use of the following machines, equipment and tools is customarily required:
- Mop bucket
- Vacuum cleaner and attachments
- Dustpan/counter brush
- Step ladder
