Where You Can Make An Impact
- Dishwashing & Cleanliness: Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment. Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use.
- Organized & Efficient: Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized, ensuring that dishes and kitchen equipment are stored properly and easily accessible for kitchen and service staff.
- Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring waste areas are kept clean and organized.
- Support Kitchen Operations: Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks, as needed, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen remain organized and sanitary.
- Maintaining Clean Work Areas: Ensure that the dishwashing area, floors, and surrounding workspaces remain free of debris and meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations and maintain a smooth flow during peak service times.
Education/Formal Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen support experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant, resort, or hospitality environment is beneficial.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy trays or dish racks, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness, ensuring that dishes and utensils are thoroughly sanitized and maintained.
- Team Player: Works well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of basic sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes and work areas meet health regulations.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen during peak service hours.
- Flexibility: Willingness to take on various tasks, including assisting with food prep and basic kitchen maintenance.
