We have an immediate opening for a Controls Engineer at our Jefferson, OH headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
The Controls Engineer supports the electrical and automation systems of Presrite’s manufacturing operations. This position works closely with the maintenance and manufacturing organizations to ensure proper function, development, and project management of these systems.
A candidate for the Controls Engineer position will be a team oriented leader who possesses strong technical, communication, and project management skills.
Regular travel via automobile between the regional facilities is required.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive)
· Serve as the main point of contact for all electrical development, configuration and applications of installation protocols.
· Program Allen-Bradley RS Logix 500 PLC's side in ladder logic and use PanelView or PanelView as needed.
· Be familiar with blueprints and AutoCAD for electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Serve as the liaison with the plant maintenance teams for automation and electrical projects.
· Be responsible for electrical machine testing for all units prior to shipment.
· Site startup, acceptance and qualification responsibilities for all electrical projects.
· Provide the above support though site maintenance leadership, as well as hands-on assistance.
· Work with Reliability Engineering on Root Cause Analysis Events
· Assist with Mentorship Program for Electrical Engineering Technician Apprentices
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of full time electrical engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (preferably forging) is required
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, such as Microsoft Office, CAD software
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must have strong listening, problem solving, and multitasking skills
• Excellent Project Management Skills required - PMP Certification preferred but not required
