PURPOSE OF POSITION
As an Intern in Product Development Engineering at Press-Seal Corporation, you will actively contribute to the development and refinement of innovative products that support critical infrastructure industries such as underground utilities, automotive, and medical. This dynamic role offers hands-on experience in designing, testing, and improving products and processes under the guidance of seasoned professionals. The internship emphasizes creativity, learning, and practical application of engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Innovation and Product Development :
Assist in conceptualizing and designing new products that enhance performance and manufacturability.
Support the development of tools, molds, and fixtures using cutting-edge technology.
Participate in feasibility studies and collaborate on innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Research and Analysis :
Gather and analyze data to improve product quality and reliability
Prepare detailed technical reports, charts, and presentations that drive informed decision-making
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement :
Work alongside cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and safety.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing productivity.
Testing and Validation :
Assist in product testing to ensure compliance with performance standards.
Document test outcomes and recommend potential improvements.
Learning and Development :
Gain hands-on experience with 2D / 3D CAD software for product design.
Learn and apply industry standards such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and AP QP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
Other duties as assigned
Assist in various operational tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements
Qualifications :

Education :
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
