Tiama Americas, Inc. seeks Customer Service Area Manager in Maumee, OH
The role supervises Service Engineers in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of our company's glass production machines at the customer site. The role organizes and conducts technical trials and demonstrations on this equipment at the customer site in various configurations to showcase the flexibility and customization of the products and conducts training at the customer site. The role is dedicated to the supervision of the Service Engineers in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Central and South American countries to ensure all duties are performed and in a timely manner.
Specific duties include:
- Schedule and coordinate all tasks performed by the Service Engineers
- Ensure that Service Engineers are properly trained on the Hotline
- Provide Hotline assistance to customers when troubleshooting if subjects get complicated
- Create warranty orders
- Follow-up on all projects
- Schedule sampling testing
- Follow-up on test results and organize meetings to discuss solutions when Intervention Reports are inadequate
- Maintain Showroom equipment
- Schedule training of customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or the foreign equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Knowledge of:
- the Hollow Glass industry procedures and processes
- after-sale service and quality control equipment in the glass industry
- the installation and maintenance of glass container equipment and pneumatic components
- all stages of project coordination including logistics, planning, technical, customer satisfaction, etc.
- the management of relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- National and international travel required up to 10% of the time for trips to customer sites to conduct pre-coordination visits as well as to follow-up on the team’s performance and customer satisfaction
- Relocation to Maumee, Ohio, or within a reasonable commuting distance, required. Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy.
