What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line cook position at Pressed Cafe?
Pressed Café Lawrence is looking for Team Members to join us! Our line cooks are the best of the best. Direct Report to: Management
Results to be achieved by this position: Provide our guests with an excellent meal by accurately completing orders in 2-5 minutes.

Work requirements for the position:
- Follow recipes / builds / procedures
- Be able to accurately and cautiously prepare food items with noted allergens
- Practice safety and sanitation at all times
- Learn all menu items and duties for each station worked
(Eggs/Breakfast/Panini/Salads/Bowls/Sauté/Expo) * Put out all items in 2-5 minutes
- Actively and respectfully communicate with all staff and management
- Communicate with Expo regularly throughout each shift
- Restock working station
- Keep working station clean
- Be able to open and close working stations
- Complete special daily or weekly cleaning tasks, which may include bathrooms
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Be able to switch tasks without notice based on the needs of business and guests
- Be on your feet standing and walking for all working hours
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
Be capable of and willing to fill in any job duties required of dish/prep when needed
Qualifications:
- Food preparation, cooking, and food handling experience
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience
- Culinary background with knowledge of meal preparation
- Strong knife skills
- Experience in menu planning is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of catering and serving practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
