The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior health programs for students. The BHS also assists the classroom teacher in the development, implementation, and monitoring of academic programs and the Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) for students. The BHS is a member of the classroom team.

Working Conditions
- Physical Demands: Moderate to high level of physical activity including; sitting, standing, walking lifting and carrying as required. Must be able to meet the demands and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
- Environmental Factors: Indoors/Outdoors: School, home, community
- Working Hours. School hours as determined by the program.
Clearances: State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
