Position Summary
The Mental Health Support Aide (Teacher Counselor Aide) assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring individual and group treatment plans and procedures to improve social/interpersonal functioning and high rates of successful program completion for assigned youth. This position assures staff are attending to the safety, health, and well-being of youth in a trauma informed manner and environment. The Mental Health Support Aide (Teacher Counselor Aide) resides with assigned youth and offers flexible hours and shifts.
This position offers a $1,500.00 hiring bonus that has a structured payout as follows if employment is active and in good standing: $500.00 at 30 days of employment, $500.00 at 3 months of employment, and $500.00 at 12 months of employment.
Shift schedules currently needed:
- Sunday 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, Monday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Tuesday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Saturday 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, Friday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Thursday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Qualification
- Clearances. State Police/FBI clearance per state regulation; Child Abuse Registry clearance; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing and a moderate to high level of physical activity including; sitting, standing, walking lifting and carrying as required. Must be able to meet the demands and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
- Environmental Factors. Indoors/Outdoors: Residential treatment facility, school, home, community.
- Working Hours. Full-Time, variable schedule based on program need.
