Position Summary
The Video Surveillance Specialist monitors multiple residential campus cameras simultaneously to ensure the safety and well being of youth and staff on campus. The Specialist is required to stay alert to disruptions or suspicious activity, and promptly reporting any concerns to the identified staff and/or supervisors on campus and properly document these concerns.
Essential Responsibilities
- Survey cameras for unwanted visitors or unsafe situations.
- Communicate concerns or findings with leadership team.
- Work with IT, as needed, to ensure equipment is properly functioning.
- Compile and submit reports on a regular basis.
- Assures safety and well-being.
- Documentation and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Clearances. State Police/FBI clearance per state regulation; Child Abuse Registry clearance; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demands. Requires vision, constant sitting in front of multiple computer monitors.
- Environmental Factors. Indoors:
- Working Hours. Overnight schedule, typically 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., or similar, days based on program need. Travel to sites as needed.
