What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician / Industrial Repair / Automation Repair position at Pressure Services Inc.?
Pressure Services is currently seeking a service technician to become part of our family owned and operated business of 40 years.
Our technicians Install and repair Pressure Washers, Parts Washers, Air Compressors, Entry Controllers, Manual and Automated Car and Truck Wash Systems, Water Treatment and Reclaim Equipment, Pumps, Pneumatics, and Small Engines. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Installation, troubleshooting, and repair, of a variety of both automated and manually operated equipment using drawings, diagrams, schematics, or best practices.
- Monitors and is accountable for accuracy of parts inventory in service van. This includes allocations of parts to installations, transfers to other service vehicles, and returns to warehouse inventories.
- Ability to diagnoses the probable cause of electrical, mechanical, or communication failure, and provides repairs as required.
- Installs, programs and tests new equipment.
- Has the ability to communicate clearly with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
- Communicate clearly with other departments internally at Pressure Services
- Present yourself professionally as a representative of Pressure Services Inc. and be prompt and thorough when making service calls.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in the service/repair field.
- Basic tools that include standard and metric socket sets, screw drivers, multi-meter, wrench sets
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight or multiple overnight stays required.
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.
- Candidates must have a clear understanding of how to read schematics and use an electrical test meter. Automated equipment we service may utilize PLC's, VFD's, Invertors, Transformers, Sonics, Pneumatics, and High and Low Voltage Electric Components. Please list all relevant work history which may be applicable.
- Ability to replace, repair or rebuild pumps, compressors, and Pneumatics. If experienced with small engine repair please notate it when applying.
- Preference given to applicants with experience troubleshooting and repairing: Pressure Washers, Small Engines, Car Wash Equipment.
