The site maintenance manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department and team to maintain, repair, and service poultry processing equipment and utilities of 290,000 sq. ft. facility to meet / exceed production goals. The role develops/ leads the maintenance discipline including - mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, & wastewater areas. The maintenance department consists of three salaried and 35-40 hourly employees within a food processing facility of 350 employees. The position reports to the site CEO w/ primary work schedule of M-F, day shift, with the expectation to work some weekends and early/ late shifts.

Responsibilities For Purchasing Manager
- Manage the leadership of multi-craft maintenance, refrigeration, and wastewater areas to include supporting utilities
- Drive the maintenance and reliability initiative with focus on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Ensure all department workers adhere to safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Exercise solid knowledge and familiarity with facility's blueprints and schematics of utilities, machinery, and equipment to efficiently analyze & troubleshoot issues/concerns
- Work w/purchasing, accounting, & vendors, to secure/ maintain appropriate parts inventory for facility assets
- Execute performance management and skills development for direct reports
- Secure and/or conduct training, one-on-one meetings, knowledge share sessions for development of team members
- Oversee and coordinate work with outside vendor resources and provide project management guidance
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote a safe work environment for self and staff
- Work a flexible schedule; creatively schedule team resources for work load balance to meet business needs
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (Min.) OR equivalent leadership experience;
- Min. of 5 years in leadership / supervisory role, in maintenance or engineering management supporting maintenance in manufacturing operation
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- 5 years maintenance or engineering leadership experience
- Strong understanding of the technical features of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
- Effective people manager w/ excellent interpersonal skills & ability to work w/ all levels of organization
- Creative, dedicated problem-solver & team player; Able to lead & work in fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Lift / move up to 40 lbs.; occasionally 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, stoop for prolong periods
- Work safely in hot, cold, wet environment e.g., 35-40 / 100 degrees
