Job Description
Prestage Farms is a leading agricultural company seeking experienced CDL truck drivers to transport feed and live animals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products, adhering to all safety procedures, and maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Safely operate tanker-type tractor/trailer units, drive long hours, and travel regularly.
- Safety: Wear seatbelts at all times, follow required safety practices, and report accidents promptly.
- Maintenance: Properly pre-trip and post-trip equipment, maintain logs, DVIR, itinerary, and other paperwork as required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a 2-year DOT physical, climb feed bins to check inventory, shovel feed spills, and lift 35 pounds without difficulty.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals with:
- A valid Class A CDL license
- At least 2 years of CDL driving experience
- A clean driving record
- Good knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
