Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and effective communication.
Duties
- Perform auto body repairs on various makes and models of vehicles, including frame straightening and body alignment.
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment to repair or replace damaged parts.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and applying primer as needed.
- Execute auto painting tasks with precision, ensuring a smooth finish that meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to provide updates on repair progress and address any customer inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in auto body repair techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and dealership operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their vehicle repairs.
- Experience in auto glass replacement is advantageous but not required.
