TITLE: Junior Maintenance Tech – 3rd Shift
DEPARTMENT: Engineering and Maintenance
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
This position provides an opportunity for an entry level employee to learn the various responsibilities, tasks and duties within the Maintenance Department in preparation toward a career in mechatronics, machine maintenance and repair, electrical, or similar occupation. The objective of this role is to learn to properly maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in high-speed factory production by completing preventive maintenance requirements, dismantling devices, examining parts, adjusting controls, and fabricating repair parts. The employee may also work with assigned individuals from the stockroom, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) administration, engineering, planning, and maintenance sections of the department to learn the full scope of these functions.
Accountabilities
- Learning from assigned Maintenance personnel all aspects of their respective responsibilities within the department.
- Applying knowledge learned and performing assigned tasks.
- Acquiring basic mechanical skills, learning to interpret technical manuals, & performing required maintenance and service on sophisticated equipment
- Technical experience and exposure to high-speed equipment
Responsibilities
- Maintenance - learn how to perform proactive and preventative maintenance work orders on facility and production equipment
- Maintenance - perform line tending duties to ensure peak performance of production equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer student enrolled in a qualifying program, trade school, college
- Willing to work in various departments, various shifts
- Mechanically inclined and likes to work with hands
- Excellent problem solving/trouble shooting skills in order to observe, diagnose, and fix machinery malfunctions.
