Prestige Care Center of Morrison is immediately hiring a Maintenance Assistant for our 180 bed skilled nursing facility. Prestige Care Center of Morrison is nestled in the foothills near Red Rocks. With beautiful scenery, wildlife, and mountain views, you are sure to find our location a great place to work. We are located off multiple interstates and highways, which makes getting to the facility an eas ier task.
Maintenance Assistant Required Qualifications
Preferrably with experience in industrial painting and / or groundskeeping
Valid driver’s license in current State with satisfactory driving record
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Requires the ability to be available for “on-call” emergency repairs
Requires knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair
Pluming and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems
Maintenance Assistant Major Duties and Responsibilities
Perform repairs as directed
Collect and dispose of refuse
Clean, strip, wax, and buff floors
Assure prompt snow and ice removal
Help to assure the maintenance of the physical plant is in proper order
Assist in the care of the center's physical plant and grounds
Coordinates daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
Assist in terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death.
Follows maintenance schedule / instruction from supervisor and as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures.
Performs routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed in accordance with established procedures.
Completes maintenance request slips and turns them into supervisor
Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc. as necessary or directed.
Replaces burned out light bulbs, to include exit lights, overhead lights
Ensures the operation of machinery, mechanical equipment and upkeep of facility by assisting department in Preventative Maintenance Program.
May assume on call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekends and holidays.
Performs unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as directed.
Assist in smooth operation of maintenance department.
