Business Analytics Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join the FDIC 370 Finance team, responsible for leading system enhancements and modifications to the deposit insurance calculator ETL. This individual will collaborate with business subject matter experts and technology partners to identify areas for improvement in the calculator logic and processes. You will develop comprehensive requirements, create action plans, and lead multiple phases of testing to ensure the successful deployment of updates into production. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can drive initiatives from start to finish with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system enhancements and modifications to the deposit insurance calculator ETL
• Partner with business and technology teams to identify improvement areas in calculator logic and processes
• Develop detailed business requirements and action plans for system modifications
• Manage and lead multiple phases of testing for system enhancements
• Ensure successful deployment of updates, corrections, and enhancements into production
• Handle multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Communicate business requirements effectively, both in writing and verbally
• Utilize SQL for querying the deposit insurance calculator’s database
• Work with developers to implement changes in a production environment
• Transition into Business-As-Usual (BAU) functions over time
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a related role within financial services
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience with Bank Regulatory Reporting (Axiom experience is ideal)
• Knowledge of database systems within the financial services industry
• Some understanding of banking products and balance sheets
• Ability to take initiative and lead technical initiatives with minimal direction
• Experience working in a production environment with developers
• Master's degree or higher
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting and presenting business requirements
