Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team within a correctional facility. Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to inmates, ensuring their health needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient conditions, documenting observations and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Ensure compliance with all facility protocols, regulations, and health standards.
- Provide education to inmates on managing their health conditions and treatment regimens.
- Assist with routine health assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to maintain a safe and effective healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required for all staff.
- Ability to work 2 days per week, including every other weekend.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a correctional facility or with incarcerated populations is a plus.
- Experience in administering medications and providing care for diverse patient conditions.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
