Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, and initiation of new cases.
- Develop strategies for advancing and resolving litigation matters.
- Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, responses, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Support the preparation and analysis of complex Excel files, such as damage models and time audits.
- Assist in negotiating settlements and motions for settlement approval.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the FLSA and other niche legal areas.
- Ensure adherence to firm protocols regarding time billing and case organization.
- 3 years of experience in plaintiff-side litigation.
- Strong knowledge of the FLSA and similar state wage-and-hour laws.
- Experience with class actions, collective actions, and/or federal court practice.
- Excellent writing and research skills, with the ability to draft high-quality legal documents.
- Proficiency in managing the client intake and retention process, with clear and compassionate communication.
- Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive in managing case timelines and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work full-time from the firm’s offices in either Jersey City, NJ or Wayne, PA.
