Machine Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery and processing products to meet quality standards. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure efficiency and a safe working environment. You will be expected to work across various shifts and contribute to the team through problem-solving, equipment monitoring, and training others.

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Mobile Equipment Operator Exam completion and medically cleared to work by Client required criteria through Concentra.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States and for John Middleton Company.
• Available to work any shift, and must be willing to work mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Manufacturing experience, operator experience, or relevant military experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office preferred.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Machines: Process products and operate machines to meet quality requirements as a skilled machine operator.
• Safety Adherence: Understand and follow safety rules and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Follow Instructions: Review and follow written instructions, work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Team Support: Assist team members to maintain operational procedures according to company standards.
• Monitor Equipment: Inspect and monitor equipment, materials, or products for quality assurance and detect any issues.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems in processes or equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Training: Train and qualify on all Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and assist in the training of new team members.
• Effective Communication: Listen, ask questions, and share information with team members to collaboratively solve problems.
• Data Handling: Review, interpret, and input data on paper or using computers for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
• Machine and Tool Maintenance: Use or clean machines, equipment, or tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Physical Tasks: Complete tasks that require physical effort, such as lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, crawling, walking, and standing for most of your shift.
• Work Environment: Adapt to varying environmental conditions; some work areas may be not climate-controlled, requiring work in hot or cold conditions and dusty or dirty environments.
  
  

Working Conditions

Some tasks require physical labor, including lifting, standing, and manual work.

Work in non-climate-controlled conditions, which could involve hot, cold, dusty, or dirty environments.

Shift work with the potential for mandatory overtime, weekends, and holiday shifts.
