Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a locum basis. In this role, you will be responsible for treating both scheduled and walk-in work-related injuries as well as urgent care patients within an outpatient clinic setting. As a Nurse Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include performing assessments, examinations, and management of various occupational health conditions, as well as providing acute episodic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Occupational Health:
• Assess and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Conduct general physical examinations.
• Administer medications and injections as needed.
• Perform laboratory collections and special testing such as:
• Audiogram
• Pulmonary function testing
• Respirator fit tests
• Drug and alcohol screens, including breath alcohol and drug screens.
• Acute Episodic Care:
• Treat common illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, headaches, sore throats, and gastrointestinal complaints.
• Manage sprains, strains, lacerations, rashes, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
  

Qualifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Kentucky (KY).
• Strong clinical skills and experience in occupational health and urgent care settings.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform and interpret diagnostic tests related to occupational health.
