Pharmacy Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate, patient-centric Pharmacist to manage and grow our pharmacy presence in Junction, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with providers, enhance patient care, and enjoy a great work-life balance with a Monday through Friday schedule (9AM-6PM), with some exceptions. No nights or weekends are required, and most federal holidays are observed.

As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for managing the pharmacy’s relationship with our health center clients, collaborating with clinic providers and their staff, offering drug-related education, and acting as a key member of the patient care team. You will ensure that patient health, compliance, and satisfaction are prioritized while managing pharmacy operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide education and support to patients regarding their medications.
• Manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians (if applicable), motivating and developing them through ongoing education and training.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and customer service.
• Manage inventory and financial profitability, while ensuring loss prevention and efficient workflow.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse requirements.
• Lead the pharmacy staff in meeting operational and quality goals while maintaining a culture of care, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Engage in clinical meetings with clinic providers and their teams.
  
  

Requirements

• Required Education & Licensing:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Pharmacist license in Texas.
• Preferred Experience & Skills:
• Previous management experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• 3 years of related pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of 340B pharmacy programs (preferred but not required).
• Immunization certification and vaccination administration experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional patient service skills.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Fine motor skills for repetitive hand motions via keyboard/phone.
• Effective communication abilities, including hearing, writing, and speaking.
