The Senior Electrical Engineer will co-locate at the supplier’s Dayton, Ohio facility to address quality concerns, perform defect investigations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with electronics suppliers to support the manufacturing of PCBAs/CCAs and associated LRUs.
- Ensure production quality by co-locating at the supplier’s facility.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve supplier quality issues, including conducting defect investigations and trend analysis.
- Lead root-cause analysis to address non-conformance issues and evaluate their impact.
- Communicate requirements, expectations, and findings effectively with all stakeholders.
- Participate in technical meetings within the Integrated Product Team.
- Support process improvement initiatives at supplier facilities to promote a “Zero Defect” mentality.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001 standards.
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Certification in IPC-A-600.
- Experience in designing PCBAs/CCAs for aerospace or defense industries.
- Familiarity with MIL-PRF standards, ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102B standards.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC qualification principles, servo amplifier design, and low/high voltage power systems.
