We are seeking a highly skilled Tool / Fixture Builder to join our team. This role is critical to our operations, as the successful candidate will be responsible for producing machine-assembled tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tooling and fixture building, with a strong background in either automotive or aerospace sectors.
Responsibilities :
Create and assemble complex tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges by interpreting and analyzing blueprints, sketches, specifications, and technical descriptions.
Utilize advanced machining techniques to produce high-quality components, ensuring that all tools and fixtures meet stringent industry standards.
Accurately assemble tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, applying detailed knowledge of materials, machining processes, and assembly methods.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the tool-building process, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to ensure that all tools and fixtures meet the required specifications and are delivered on time.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed tools and fixtures to verify that they meet all design and functionality requirements.
Maintain detailed records of all tool-building activities, including measurements, adjustments, and modifications made during the process.
Qualifications :
Extensive experience in the automotive and / or aerospace industries, specifically in the development of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and assembly methods, with a proven track record of producing high-precision tools and fixtures.
Prior experience in the assembly of complex tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges is required.
Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to perform precise calculations related to tool building and machining.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that all tools and fixtures are built to exacting standards.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
