Our Office is located in Central Phoenix, Arizona,
We are a bilingual patient-focused office dedicated to getting to the root of all of our patient's needs and concerns.
Foot and ankle surgeon Devin Bland, DPM, specializes in foot-related conditions such as Charcot reconstruction, trauma, injuries, flat feet, hammertoes, diabetic wounds, fractures, Achilles tendon ruptures, and all general foot care.
Carla Aldaz, MSN, FNP, ANCC-BC, specializes in advanced primary-family practice care. She is a certified trauma nurse and critical care specialist with a background in surgery, emergency medicine, cardiovascular diseases, wound care, and aesthetic medicine.
We are a full-service office that is fast-paced. Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, an applicant is required to perform duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care given in accordance with the organization standards.
Duties
- Manage daily clinic flow
- Maintaining accurate patient vitals, Manuel blood pressures, medical history, medications, testing, collection of lab samples, results, x-rays, and referrals
- Casting, suture removal and all post operative care
- Wound Care
- Assisting provider with minor procedures and accurate consents are signed
- Sending out pathology to proper locations
- Maintaining outside referrals, Physical therapy, vascular orders, imagining orders, prescription refills, lab work orders, and any other outside order requested by providers.
- Performing general work desk duties when necessary and knowledge of scheduling and insurance verifications
- Preparing exams rooms each day and have them ready for clinic each day.
- Prepping for clinic, having all results ready for provider to view and set up for minor procedures
- Maintaining par levels (daily inventory) and ordering of supplies
- Instruments cleaned daily with autoclave
- Help to maintain daily work emails and Updox (faxing)
- Preparedness for West Valley Clinic-every other week
- End of day tasks and maintaining clean work areas
- All other requested duties tasked by providers or manager as needed.
- AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Current certification in medical assisting required from the America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
- Bilingual in Spanish or other languages preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA is required.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is required and HIPAA regulations
- Flu vaccine, TB validated (to administer or read) or validation obtained within 6 months of hire preferred.
- Knowledge of Business Unit Quality Programs, Meaningful Use, and Standard Work Programs and concepts within 6 months of hire.
- Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills
