- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or issues related to patient records or billing.
- Stay updated on changes in coding standards, regulations, and best practices within the medical billing field.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with a strong understanding of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
- Knowledge of medical collection processes and the ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies and patients.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
