What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist position at Prestige Regenerative Medicine?
Prestige Regenerative Medicine is a medical clinic with offices in Chico and Redding.
Our Chico office is expanding, and we are seeking a medical assistant, technician, or similarly qualified candidate with solid computer skills to cross-train in all of our modalities and perform the following tasks:
- Explain our services to new patients
- Administer injections and basic treatments
- Log/chart after each treatment
- Answer phones
- Process payments
- Schedule patients with the PRM medical provider and nutritionist
- Clean the treatment rooms
- Call pharmacy to refill/fill prescriptions
- Scan/upload documents to EMR
- Keep track of inventory for medical supplies
- Fax documents
Shift will be 8 hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, though the clinic is planning to expand to more days per week. The position will involve working in our Chico office.
PRM provides a wide variety of additional services, and cross training will be provided for our new team member to have a broad knowledge of these other treatments (see prestigerm.com for our complete list of services). Currently, PRM specializes in balancing and replacing the critical hormones that all men and women lose as they age. PRM also offers GAINSWave and FemiWave therapy, a simple in-office procedure for symptoms such as erectile dysfunction and Peyronie's disease in men and urinary incontinence in women. PRM also offers Platelet Rich Plasma treatment, which involves creating a highly concentrated dose of platelets by centrifuging a patient's blood are then injecting these platelets into the patient's place of injury, signaling to the body to accelerate healing in that tissue. Lastly, PRM has launched a new medical weight loss program to add to our list of services. This program includes the administration of Semaglutide as part of a holistic program designed to help those having trouble losing weight. Semaglutide interacts with the parts of the brain that suppress your appetite and signal you to feel full. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise, it can cause significant weight loss — and a reduced risk of cancer, diabetes and heart disease — in people who are obese or overweight.
