Outside Sales Engineer

Prestige is seeking driven individuals with engineering experience who are eager to use their technical skills in a sales role. Outside Sales Engineers would develop a deep understanding of the products and services we provide and learn the detailed steps involved in the projects we complete. Successful candidates will have a technical background and will possess a passion for communicating the value of technical details in order to drive sales. Outside Sales Engineers will focus on developing new business, as well as retaining and developing business with existing customers. We are looking for individuals that have excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, and a desire to win.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of the storage and material handling equipment industry, and the intricacies of each product and service offering that Prestige provides
- Prospect, develop, and close new business with new and existing customers
- Develop rapport with key stakeholders at major accounts
- Regularly travel throughout TN, GA, and AL to perform site visits to determine customer needs and the optimal solutions to fulfill them
- Obtain detailed information from site visits to develop drawings and concepts
- Work with office staff and management to turn information from site visits into proposals
- Maintain involvement on projects from time of purchase order to completion of installation
- Work with Director of Marketing and management to help refine CRM
- Communicate and report on upcoming schedule, primary leads, and key successes to management
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Engineering with 4 years of work experience
- Outside sales experience with industrial equipment is preferred
- Strong professional communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to learn and develop technical understanding of products and services
- Effective at managing time and optimizing site visits
- Experience with reporting to management on ongoing efforts and results
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Experience:
- BS/BA degree in Engineering with 4 years of work experience
