Lead Diesel Technician (Direct Hire)

Job Description

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician with experience working on Class 8 trucks for a direct hire 1st shift Lead Technician opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Technicians in garage
  • Perform Class 8 maintenance on diesel equipment, i.e. preventive maintenance, brake work, and DOT inspections
  • Fix break down issues
  • Communicate effectively with the fleet to understand the maintenance needs to ensure all equipment is safe and up to DOT standards
  • Adhere and enforce all safety rules

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in diesel electronic software
  • A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in Class 8 truck maintenance experience.
  • Must be able pass a DOT physical
  • Experience in a leadership position
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
