As a Medical Self-Pay Collector, you will be responsible for managing and collecting payments from patients who do not have insurance coverage or whose insurance does not fully cover their medical expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Contact patients via phone, email, or mail to discuss outstanding balances and payment options.
- Provide clear explanations of medical bills, charges, and insurance coverage to patients.
- Take payments over the phone
Requirements:
- Experience taking payments
- Experience setting up payment arrangements
- Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or collections preferred
- Strong customer services skills required
