As an Inside Salesperson in Building Materials, you are the customer’s first point of contact, responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience. You will conduct front-counter sales of building materials to Preston Feather customers and assist both customers and contractors by responding to questions and providing guidance for all inquiries.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Accurately entering orders in the Point of Sale (POS) system, linking to purchasing for special orders
- Processing sales transactions accurately in compliance with Preston Feather policies for pricing, discounts, payment and credit memo terms
- Assisting with stock receiving, merchandising, and inventory cycle counts
- Sporadically retrieving materials from yard and loading into customer vehicles, often requiring lifting up to 50 lbs

Required qualifications include:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Prior experience using a POS system and front-of-house customer service experience is strongly preferred
