JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Client facing accountant
- Understands what the clients need and can meet with them to secure more business
- Understands bookkeeping and accounting for small American businesses
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Applying transfers and wire payments
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger
maintenance
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Assist in recording intercompany allocations
- Prepare and analyze Selling and Administrative reports for management
- Communicate with representatives of all domestic and foreign entities
- Reconcile intercompany trade and non-trade accounts to subsidiary ledgers
- Play a crucial role during month end close; quarter end close; year-end close
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and
strengthen internal controls
- Develop procedures to improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Accounting AI experience also a major plus
· Strong IT and computer skills with accounting principles
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven
environment
- Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience utilizing accounting and finance software (SAP experience preferred)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Four to ten years of accountant experience
Salary : $73,100 - $91,900
