How You'll Spend Your Time:
- Welding and Fabrication: Handle the layout, fabrication, and welding of pipes and fittings using both manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in all positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Quality Control: Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure no flaws or defects.
- Safety First: Keep your work area clean and well-maintained while ensuring that safety standards are met at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep welding tools and equipment in top condition to avoid safety risks.
- Collaboration: Work with the Safety Director to address any potential hazards or concerns.
- Travel: Be willing to travel to job sites across the continental US, with occasional overnight stays.
- Other duties: Take on additional tasks as needed to support the team.
What Describes You:
- Welding Expertise: You have an SMAW-1 or GTAW-4 welding certification, and ammonia refrigeration system experience is a big plus!
- Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- Strength & Stamina: You're able to lift and carry heavy items and work in demanding environments.
- Adaptability: You're comfortable with frequent travel (90-100%) and overnight stays.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is your strong suit.
