A Spotter is responsible for the safe and smooth movement and organization of trailers and other heavy equipment within the yard or warehouse. Is also responsible for sit-down forklift operator duties.

Overview
A Spotter is responsible for the safe and smooth movement and organization of trailers and other heavy equipment within the yard or warehouse. Is also responsible for sit-down forklift operator duties.
Your Role at Prestone
- Move Trailers: Safely move trailers to and from loading docks, storage areas, and other designated spots within the yard.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of trailer numbers and types of materials being moved. Manage yard inventory of trailers needed/spotted in doors for material replenishment to the production lines and for finished goods loading.
- Safety Compliance: Operate yard trucks and other equipment safely, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Communication: Use radios to communicate with plant personnel.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues. Conduct visual inspections on of docks and trailers.
- Loading/Unloading trailers as directed in support of customer live load shipments and warehouse storage.
- Complete Spotter log daily.
- Work with forklift operators (tuggers, line pullers) to plan changeovers (tuggers) and finished goods trailers (line pullers).
- Fill in responsibilities as sit-down forklift operator when assigned and required.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year previous experience Spotter or equivalent role, preferably in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
- Minimum of six (6) months sit-down forklift experience.
