Description
Responsible for maintaining inventory and assigned job responsibilities for the Bookstore at Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC).
Responsibilities:
- Receives, counts and stores product and materials from the stockroom
- Records data and compiles stock reports
- Compares office inventory records with sales orders, invoices, or requisitions to verify accuracy and receipt of items
- Packs, unpacks and marks stock items, using identification tag, stamp, electric marking tool, or other labeling equipment
- Examines and inspects stock items for defects or damage and reports to Bookstore Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
- High school education, some college preferred
- Knowledge of administrative procedures such as processing systems, filing and records management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic mathematical operations
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs
- Able to push or pull up to 50 pounds and to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs
