Description
Position Summary:
Assist with various exterior duties for Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”) including landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation inspections and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or assist in maintenance of landscapes and ball fields
- Irrigation inspections and repairs
- Small tree maintenance
- Operate equipment for moving or removing dirt, rock, trash, or debris
- Assist with maintaining lake area
- Perform minor repairs to exterior repair equipment
- Monitor campus grounds to assure safety and cleanliness
- Assist with repair or replacement of traffic and parking signage
- Inspect and ensure structural integrity of driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks
- Assist with installation of banners and flags
- Survey turf, landscape, tree, shrub, and flower areas to determine irrigation needs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
- Willing to work inside or outside in varying heat and cold consistent with outside weather conditions
- Possess and display attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, excellent judgement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead and kneel on a consistent basis and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Possess current driver license, personal vehicle insurance and a clear driving record for clearance to drive PBC owned/rented vehicles
- Possess and maintain forklift certification, or complete upon hire
- Experience with irrigation preferred
- Experience with landscaping preferred
