- Support fathers in crisis situations and promote their progress toward self-sufficiency using appropriate resources and interventions
- Recruit, train, and empower male client advocates to engage, equip and educate the male clients of PPC
- Engage with Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC) LifeGroups to recruit male client advocates
- Train male client advocates to build and maintain relationships with their clients through appropriate touch points and consistent follow up such as for important life situations, being there during crisis situations, etc.
- Mentor male client advocates during each phase of their PPC experience
- Ensure sufficient male volunteers are available and scheduled to meet with clients
- Establish and maintain relationships with like-minded DFW churches
- Collaborate with other non-profits, ministries, and city agencies to coordinate services and resources for fathers
- Provide pastoral care to client advocates
- Develop equipping and discipleship programs for male clients
- Create materials to be used during male client appointments
- Encourage an ongoing relationship with PBC and its ministries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for the men's area of PPC
- Participate in PPC educational opportunities which could include scheduling, leading, teaching, training, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
- Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
- Always passionate about the mission of PPC and PBC
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- A seminary degree, or working to attain one, highly preferred
- Experience giving guidance with a Biblical, Christian context to those in crisis situations
- Experience in recruiting and developing a volunteer base
- Excellent communication, time management and project management skills
- Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, while occasionally performing physical activities requiring moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance
